RACK: what it means

A framework that admits all play carries some risk and asks everyone to understand those risks, talk about them openly, and consent knowing what they are agreeing to.

Also called: Risk-Aware Consensual Kink.

In practice

RACK asks people to learn the actual risks of what they are considering, discuss them honestly, and agree only once everyone understands them. It does not mean anything goes. It means choices are informed, and people still say no to things whose risks they are not comfortable with.

Consent and safety

Consent tools only work when everyone agrees on them ahead of time, sober and without pressure. Anyone can pause or stop at any moment, and a “yes” last week is not a “yes” today. If something feels off, stopping is always the right call. For meeting someone new, see our safety tips.
